Imagine a Mother...

Grounded in her power.

Confident in her choices.

Flowing through transitions with ease.

Fully experiencing every moment of joy.

Deeply feeling, and deeply healing.

Let's find our way to this vision, together.

What is Somatic Healing?

Neuroscience-Informed Movement

We use slow, intentional movements designed to support nervous system regulation, awaken body awareness, and rewire habitual patterns. These movements help build new neural pathways that support safety, choice, and embodied presence.

Dynamic, Exploratory
Breathwork

Breath is a bridge between the conscious and unconscious. We’ll explore breath as a tool for insight and regulation—not just calming down, but tuning in. Practices are shaped in real-time to support your unique rhythms and needs.

Therapeutic Touch &
Traction

Gentle, consent-based touch offers grounding, spaciousness, and support. Techniques like pelvic decompression or sacral traction can bring relief, release holding patterns, and invite parts of the body back online.

Engaging, Empowering
Dialogue

Somatic dialogue is collaborative and present-moment focused. Rather than analyzing or fixing, we ask curious questions to help you listen inward and trust your body’s responses. It’s not about finding the "right answer"—it’s about discovering your truth in real time.

Energy & Subtle
Body Healing

Subtle energy work, like Reiki and guided visualization, supports healing on a nervous system level. It helps shift energetic blocks, deepen your connection to intuition, and restore flow across physical and emotional systems.

Trauma-Informed, Accessible, & Completely Customized

Every session is shaped by your pace, your history, and your goals. Whether we’re addressing birth trauma, anxiety, or the exhaustion of early motherhood, I meet you where you are—with tools that support safety, agency, and ease.

Community Gatherings

Join us for a nourishing gathering of women for an intentional afternoon of cacao and connection.

Together, we’ll share a cacao ritual to call upon the wisdom of the Earth and the power of the heart. Through envigorating somatic practices, guided reflection, and heartfelt conversation, you’ll be invited to come home to yourself in the presence of others.

No experience necessary—just bring your open heart, your favorite mug, and anything you need to feel cozy. This event is donation-based.

Healing begins with belonging.

I honor and celebrate all gender identities, expressions, and sexual orientations. I affirm the wisdom and sovereignty of every body, rejecting systems that seek to define or diminish who you are.

I recognize that true healing is inseparable from justice — and I am committed to the ongoing work of opposing white supremacy, dismantling internalized biases, and centering the dignity of Black, Indigenous, and all People of Color.

This is a space rooted in trauma-informed care, where consent is sacred and collaboration is essential. Your voice, your “yes,” your “no,” and your “maybe” will always be honored.

Accessibility matters — because healing should not be a luxury. I offer sliding scale pricing and adapt my practices to support the diverse realities of your body and nervous system.

I am committed to lifelong learning and unlearning, showing up with humility, compassion, and a belief in the profound resilience of our bodies and communities.

You belong here.

You Are Not Alone

I’m Alexi Neal, a multi-disciplinary Somatic Healer and Mom to two tiny humans.

After my first birth, I felt disempowered and disconnected, struggling with postpartum anxiety and depression. I didn’t trust myself to make decisions, and I felt overwhelmed by the weight of motherhood. But my second pregnancy was different. I made choices that truly supported my mental and emotional well-being—choices rooted in my body’s wisdom. That connection changed everything.

My practice began with a focus on trauma healing, harnessing the profound power of a body-mind approach to transformation. Grounded in psychology, neuroscience, mindfulness, and somatics, I helped clients reconnect with their bodies and reclaim their authentic selves.

Now, I do this work because the threshold into motherhood is rich with opportunities for growth and expansion, but it needs so much more support than our culture believes.

When we are supported through the pains, grief and traumas of this transition, and taught how  to follow our own intuition above any external source – the impact of our healing ripples into our families, our communities, and the world.

Come Home to Your Body

You don’t have to figure it all out in your head. Healing happens when you regulate your nervous system, shift out of survival mode, and reconnect with the body’s innate intelligence—something neuroscience shows is key to emotional resilience.

Using trauma-informed movement, breath, therapeutic touch, and mind-body techniques grounded in neuroscience, I guide you to:

Prenatal Somatic Therapy

Becoming a Mother is a Birth of Its Own.

With every child you bring into the world, you’re not just welcoming a baby—you’re transforming as a mother. Each pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience is different, bringing new challenges, shifts, and opportunities to reconnect with yourself.

The most powerful way to move through these changes is by strengthening your connection to your body and your baby.

Your journey through motherhood is completely unique—only you, your body, and your baby know what’s truly right for you. My role is to help you listen to that inner wisdom, so you can move through this season with confidence, clarity, and ease.

Along the way, you may also experience:

Postnatal Somatic Therapy

Trust Yourself in the Postnatal Period

The early days of motherhood can be overwhelming. Advice, guidelines, and well-meaning opinions come from every direction—but the only voice that truly matters is your own. Your intuition is your greatest guide.

At the same time, caring for yourself looks different now. Your time and energy are stretched in new ways, making support more essential than ever. Allow yourself to be held and cared for, so you can continue showing up for your baby with strength and presence.

Postnatal Somatic Therapy supports the brain-body connection, allowing you to process and integrate your birth experience in a gentle, trauma-informed way that research shows is essential for nervous system regulation and emotional healing.

Additional benefits include:

Please note: Postnatal sessions are appropriate even in the early days postpartum, and are available in-home. Please contact me directly to schedule in-home visits.

Deepen Your Connection—To Your Body, Your Baby, and a Community of Mothers

This isn’t just another prenatal yoga class—it’s an 8-week journey of movement, breath, and self-discovery designed to support you through the profound transformation of pregnancy. Each week, we explore a key theme that reflects both the physical and emotional shifts of this season, using guided discussion, somatic practices, and breathwork to process and integrate your experience.

Just as important as the practices is the community—a space where you can share, be heard, and connect with other moms who truly understand. In a world that often makes pregnancy feel isolating, this group offers a place of support, reflection, and deepening trust in yourself.

Join us to prepare not just for birth, but for the unfolding journey of motherhood—together.

Postnatal Somatic Group

Come Home to Your Body in Postpartum

Motherhood changes everything—including your relationship with your body. This 8-week group is designed to help you reconnect with yourself through movement, breath, and guided discussion. Each week, we explore a theme that reflects the realities of new motherhood, using somatic practices to release tension, restore balance, and process your experience.

Just as in our prenatal group, an essential component of our postnatal group is community. In the whirlwind of new motherhood, self-care can often feel like a distant priority. This group creates a place where you can pause, receive care, and be guided to your own wisdom as you rediscover yourself in the postpartum experience.

This group is for those at least 2 months postpartum or cleared for regular activity. Lap babies are welcome.

Join us to reclaim your body, restore your energy, and feel more at home in yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often and for how long do you generally see clients?

You may see significant shifts from just one Somatic Healing session. You may choose to alternate between Somatic Healing sessions and mental health counseling or physical therapy for a few months at a time. You may choose to make this part of your ongoing self-care process.

Any of these options are valid and powerful ways of engaging this work.

I offer sliding scale pricing using the Green Bottle Method, a framework that helps both of us honor fairness, access, and sustainability.

Sliding scale means you choose the rate that reflects your current financial circumstances — no proof required, no questions asked. The Green Bottle Method invites you to consider your resources (like income, savings, support systems, and financial responsibilities) and select the price point that feels both respectful of your situation and supportive of the work we’re doing together.

By offering a sliding scale, I aim to make this work accessible while also sustaining my ability to offer care long-term.

When you pay at the higher end of the scale, you help create opportunities for others who need to pay less. When you pay at the lower end, you honor your own needs without shame. Both choices are equally valued.

Yes! While I specialize in perinatal support, these tools are powerful for any stage of motherhood. Whether you’re processing a past birth experience, struggling with stress, or just needing deeper support, this work can help.

Sessions can be tailored to your postpartum stage. Some gentle practices can be started early (even in the first few weeks postpartum), while more active movement is recommended after clearance for regular activity (usually around 6–8 weeks). In-home sessions are available for early postpartum clients.

Body awareness is a research-backed method of preventing and treating depression and anxiety. While we go far beyond simple awareness, there is significant evidence to show that even just that first step of spending more time in direct experience of your body can shift mental patterns.

For fourth trimester clients, in-home sessions are a way to access physical, emotional and spiritual support without leaving your baby or taxing your body with travel. Depending on how early postpartum, we may do our work from your bed, with baby on your chest. You may choose to have someone else available to care for the baby, or not – either way, I’ll come to you.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from a regular yoga class?

Somatic Yoga Therapy is not just about movement—it’s about using the body as a pathway for healing. Unlike traditional yoga, which focuses on physical postures, this work integrates neuroscience, mindfulness, and therapeutic dialogue to help you regulate your nervous system, release stored tension, and reconnect with your intuition.

Additionally, this approach is trauma-informed, meaning that extra care is taken to help the body feel safe enough to explore sensations, emotions and experiences that are tender and stuck.

No experience is necessary! This practice is accessible to all bodies and is tailored to your needs in each session.

Each session is tailored to your needs. We begin with a check-in to explore what’s present for you in the moment. From there, I’ll guide you through movement and postures, incorporating breath, therapeutic touch, and dialogue to cultivate deep awareness—the space where true somatic transformation happens. We’ll then integrate your experience through guided reflection, co-creating practical steps to carry into your daily life.

Yes! While I specialize in perinatal support, these tools are powerful for any stage of motherhood. Whether you’re processing a past birth experience, struggling with stress, or just needing deeper support, this work can help.

While doulas and midwives provide essential birth support, this work focuses on the internal process—helping you develop a deep connection to your body, regulate stress, and move through pregnancy with confidence and ease. Many clients find that this work complements their birth preparation beautifully.

Yes! Somatic therapy is a powerful tool for managing anxiety by helping you regulate your nervous system, quiet racing thoughts, and build trust in your body’s ability to navigate birth.

This work can often be adapted for high-risk pregnancies, but always consult with your care provider before beginning.

Sessions can be tailored to your postpartum stage. Some gentle practices can be started early (even in the first few weeks postpartum), while more active movement is recommended after clearance for regular activity (usually around 6–8 weeks). In-home sessions are available for early postpartum clients.

For private postnatal sessions, absolutely! For group sessions, lap babies are welcome, but the practice is designed to be a space for you to focus on yourself.

Somatic therapy has been shown to support nervous system regulation, which is essential in managing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. It helps you move from a place of overwhelm into one of self-trust, grounding, and resilience.
